Always use a respirator when handling dry dye powder to avoid inhaling fine particles.

Fill a stainless steel pot with water, add the dye powder, and stir to dissolve.

If silk loses its sheen, a vinegar rinse can help restore it.

Add 1/4 cup of white vinegar or 1 tablespoon of citric acid per pound of fiber. Always use a respirator when handling dry dye

Add the wet fiber to the pot before the dye is at full temperature to ensure an even, level color.

Powdered dyes (e.g., Jacquard or Dharma Acid Dyes). Acid Agent: White vinegar or citric acid. add the dye powder

Do not stir wool vigorously while hot to prevent felting.
