The living room was staged like a movie set. Sarah adjusted the ring light, ensuring the glow hit the "World's Best Mom" mug just right. In the center of the rug sat Toby, a toddler with a face full of cracker crumbs, and Barnaby, a Golden Retriever whose patience was visibly thinning.
Sarah’s first instinct wasn't to drop the phone. It was to zoom in.
The plan was simple: Toby would offer a dog biscuit, Barnaby would take it "gentle," and the internet would melt. But Barnaby wasn't interested in "gentle." He was interested in the steak Sarah had defrosting on the counter three feet away.
"Oh my god, Barnaby!" she giggled behind the screen, watching the frame. "Look at his face! He feels so bad!"
"Okay, Toby, give Barnaby the treat," Sarah whispered, her thumb hovering over the record button on her phone.
