: To capture the essence of different eras, Daft Punk used microphones from the 1960s to the 2000s. When Moroder spoke about his early life in Italy, they used a 1960s mic; when he spoke about the future, they used a modern one.

Daft Punk’s goal was to use Moroder’s life story as an . Rather than having him play an instrument or compose, the duo conducted three hours of interviews in Paris and edited the highlights into a monologue that guides the track.
