Initially, it appears the three women discovered the man's deception and confronted him. They claim that when they arrived, he had already committed suicide. In an attempt to cover up the scandal, they staged the scene further.

By the end of the episode, Booth and Rebecca agree that while they are great parents, they are not meant to be a couple.
