Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins is a 2009 American computer-animated mystery comedy film that serves as a prequel to the Scooby-Doo franchise. The movie was produced by Warner Bros. Animation and directed by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears.

The film takes place before the formation of Mystery Inc. and follows the origins of the gang. The story begins with Fred Jones (voiced by Robbie Amell), a thrill-seeking and adventurous boy who moves to Coolsville. At school, he meets Daphne Blake (voiced by Kate Melton), a popular and fashion-conscious girl; Velma Dinkley (voiced by Hayley Kiyoko), a bright and book-smart student; Shaggy Rogers (voiced by Matthew Lillard), a laid-back and food-loving boy; and Scooby-Doo (voiced by Frank Welker), a talking Great Dane.
